Atlanta Trauma Psychotherapy

Do you find yourself stuck, unable to shift out of dysfunctional patterns?

You know something needs to change. But your body isn't getting the message — because trauma and relational wounds don't live in your thoughts. They live in your nervous system, shaped by the experiences that taught you how to survive.

I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, addiction, trauma, disconnection, and self-sabotage — or simply the longing to feel more alive and grounded.

Using EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and polyvagal-informed therapy, we work beneath the surface — with the emotional and physiological patterns that keep you stuck, not just the story you tell about them.

Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and honest. I bring warmth and curiosity to help you slow down, listen to your body, and reconnect with the parts of you that have been silenced or shamed. You don't have to do this alone, I’d be honored to walk beside you.

Couples Counseling & Relational Repair

Relationships often bring our deepest relational wounds to the surface. You may find yourselves repeating the same arguments, feeling misunderstood, or struggling to truly hear each other despite desperately wanting the relationship to work.

This isn’t simply a communication problem. Often both of you are reacting from older relational survival patterns shaped by childhood experiences.

Through Relational Life Therapy (RLT), couples learn how to recognize these patterns, interrupt them, do in-session trauma work and begin relating to one another with honesty, accountability, and compassion. When those deeper dynamics are addressed, relationships can become a place of healing and co-regulation rather than repeated pain and nervous system overwhelm.

About Me

Hi, I’m Trey.

I work with adults, teens, and couples who feel stuck in patterns they want to understand and change — whether that shows up as anxiety, addiction, disconnection, or painful relationship cycles that keep repeating.

My path to becoming a therapist was deeply personal. Earlier in my life I struggled with anxiety, depression, and addiction while pursuing a career that looked successful from the outside but hollow on the inside. I spent several years working in the corporate world until through my healing journey in therapy, with psychedelics, and a 12 step program taught me there might be another way.

I later earned my Master’s degree from the University of West Georgia and began training in approaches designed to help people heal trauma held in the body and nervous system.

My work draws from a mind–body-spirit perspective, recognizing that our emotions, relationships, and nervous systems are deeply interconnected. In therapy we slow things down, listen carefully to what your body is communicating, and allow healing to unfold at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.

On a personal note I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee and now call Atlanta home. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy live music, ecstatic dance, writing, and spending time in nature. Practices like meditation, yoga, and spiritual inquiry continue to shape both my life and the way I approach our healing work.

It’s an honor to walk alongside people as they rediscover their authenticity, resilience, and capacity for connection.
